| | Winship Researchers Awarded NCI R01 Grant | Drs. Cam Escoffery and Ann Mertens have received a five-year, nearly $3 million R01 grant from the National Cancer Institute. The project, a collaboration between Rollins School of Public Health and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, is the first comprehensive, effectiveness-implementation study to evaluate the impact of an electronic personal health record and education system (SurvivorLink) for pediatric cancer survivors and their caregivers.

| | | | Filson Awarded ACS Mentored Research Scholar Grant | Winship urologist Christopher Filson, MD, MS has been awarded a four-year, $580,000 Mentored Research Scholar Grant from the American Cancer Society (ACS). Funding from the award will support his project "MRI-guided Prostate Biopsy: Maximizing Value and Optimizing Utilization." Drs. Martin Sanda and David Howard will serve as mentors on the project that includes collaborators from Emory and Georgia Tech.
