Winship Teams Contribute to New Head and Neck Cancer Clinic Design

Construction on a new multidisciplinary head and neck cancer clinic will soon get underway on the 10th floor of Emory University Hospital Midtown. On Aug. 23, clinical teams and stakeholders participated in a process known as integrated facility design and gave input on how the design can be optimized to best serve Winship patients. During a break from the planning, Winship head and neck surgeon Mihir Patel, MD, and nurse practitioner Martha Ryan, MS, FNP-C, held a Facebook Live discussion and took questions from viewers on ways to prevent and treat head and neck cancer. Pictured: Shannon Allen from Simpler Consulting, Nabil Saba, MD, medical oncologist, and Jim Hankins, MSW, LCSW, director of Winship Patient Support and Social Services.
