Winship Names Award Recipients at Annual Town Hall

The Winship Town Hall was held on Tuesday, Nov. 28 in the John H. Kauffman Auditorium. Executive Director Walter J. Curran, Jr., MD and members of Winship's senior leadership team shared updates on progress toward advancing Winship's mission during the past year and strategies for continued growth. Dozens of Winship members were recognized for outstanding achievement in clinical trial enrollment, published research, and mentorship.

Winship 5K Raises Nearly $800K for Cancer Research

The final tally is in: the 8th annual Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk raised $784,160 to benefit cancer research at Winship. More than 3,200 runners and walkers participated in the event held on Saturday, Oct.13.

Meltzer Named RSNA Outstanding Researcher

Winship member Carolyn Meltzer, MD, the William P. Timmie professor and chair of radiology and imaging sciences at Emory, received the 2018 Outstanding Researcher Award from the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) at the society's annual meeting Nov. 25-30 in Chicago.

Winship Members Top List of Highly Cited Researchers

Drs. Rafi Ahmed, Sagar Lonial, Dean Jones, and Andrew Miller were named to Clarivate Analytics' 2018 list of highly cited researchers, whose papers rank in the top 1% of most cited works on Web of Science.

Allen Receives Young Investigator Award
