Winship Study Aims to Reduce Breast Cancer Outcomes Disparities

Drs. Preeti Subhedar and Mylin Torres were awarded a two-year, $250,000 research award from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and Pfizer Global Medical Grants. The study will develop and implement stage and treatment-specific breast cancer algorithms across all Winship and Grady cancer sites with the goal of increasing treatment compliance and improving outcomes among underserved patients.

Winship Invest$ is now accepting proposals for the spring 2018 pilot grant cycle. Projects with budgets of up to $50,000 ($100,000 for team science projects) are invited in key strategic areas. Letters of intent are due Apr. 2.
