Melissa Childress, MBA has been named president-elect of the Association of Cancer Executives (ACE) Board of Directors. The national organization is committed to the leadership development of oncology executives and is designed to promote improvement in patient care delivery.

Pfister receives DoD Discovery Award
Radiation oncology resident Neil Pfister, MD, PhD received a Discovery Award from the Department of Defense. The three-year grant will support his project titled "Implementing CRISPR/Cas9 Genomic Screens to Identify Genetic Risk Factors for Lung Radiation Injury."

Parker retires after 40 years in oncology nursing
Catherine Parker, MSN, RN, OCN has retired after 40 years of service to oncology nursing at Winship. Parker joined Emory in 1979, working in the surgical oncology unit of Emory University Hospital.
