| | Bernal-Mizrachi named Emory service chief for Grady | Winship medical oncologist Leon Bernal-Mizrachi, MD is the new Emory Service Chief of Hematology and Medical Oncology for the Grady Health System. He will oversee the practice of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Grady, provide local leadership for department faculty, collaborate with Grady leaders, and help align clinical, teaching, and research goals.

| | | | HPV vaccination rates remain low among U.S. adolescents | Only about 16 percent of U.S. adolescents have been fully vaccinated against human papillomavirus (HPV) by the time they turn 13, despite national recommendations that call for vaccination at 11 to 12 years old. Winship member Robert Bednarczyk, PhD is lead author of a study that evaluates the trend in the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
