AACR Annual Meeting in Atlanta to feature Winship research, leadership

Nearly 100 presenters from Winship will take part in educational forums, oral platforms, mini-symposia, poster sessions, and other special programming at the 110th annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). The conference, which will take place March 29 - April 3, in Atlanta, is expected to attract more than 22,500 scientists, clinicians, advocates, and others from around the world. Emory Johns Creek Hospital named Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence
Emory Johns Creek Hospital has received designation from the American College of Radiology as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence. It is the first adult facility in the state of Georgia and the first Emory facility to earn the recognition.

The Women in Winship group will host a pre-AACR networking event on March 28 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Double Zero restaurant in Emory Village. There will be discussion of a Harvard Business Review article and topics such as the effect of professional conferences on leadership opportunities and work-life balance.

Winship Fashion Show raises funds for cancer immunology research

The 7th annual Friends of Winship Fashion a Cure Fashion Show brought in more than $350,000 to benefit cancer research at Winship. Nearly 550 guests attended the luncheon event on March 19 at the St. Regis Atlanta. Models included Winship associate directors Carla Berg, PhD, MBA, LP and Adam Marcus, PhD.
