Riney Foundation gives $7.8 million to Winship for multiple myeloma research

The Paula and Rodger Riney Foundation announced a gift of $7.8 million to Winship to fund the Riney Family Multiple Myeloma Research Program Fund. The two-year gift will support fast-tracked research projects at Winship in multiple myeloma, a blood cancer caused by malignant plasma cells that accumulate in the bone marrow.

Winship ranks among top U.S. cancer programs

Winship is ranked in the top 50 in the United States and number one in Georgia for cancer care, according to U.S. News & World Report. The annual list was released on July 28.

Winship investigators to present at ASCO educational meeting

Winship investigators, including Drs. Sagar Lonial and Taofeek Owonikoko, will present research at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Virtual Education Meeting, Aug. 8-10.
