| | Beitler to retire from Emory | Jonathan J. Beitler, MD, MBA will retire from Emory on Aug. 31. Beitler, a professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, joined the faculty in 2007 and specializes in the treatment of head and neck cancer, lung cancer, and thyroid cancer. He has served on a number of national committees focused on advancing clinical care, research, and training.

| | | | Wang to retire from Emory | Ya Wang, MD, PhD will retire from Emory on Sept. 1. Wang, a professor and director of experimental radiation oncology in the Department of Radiation Oncology, joined the faculty in 2008. Her research, which has led to significant advances in the field, has focused on elucidating the mechanism by which mammalian cells respond to DNA double strand breaks.

| | Bradley to be honored with Keller distinguished professorship | Jeffrey Bradley, MD will be honored with the James W. Keller Distinguished Professorship in Radiation Oncology in a virtual ceremony on Aug. 31 at 5pm. Keller retired as an Emory emeritus professor in 2011 after serving on the faculty of both the Department of Radiation Oncology and Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology.
