Kalinsky presents data showing some postmenopausal women with common breast cancer may forgo chemotherapy

Some postmenopausal women with early stage breast cancer can safely forgo chemotherapy, according to national data from the SWOG S1007 RxPONDER clinical trial. Kevin Kalinsky, MD, director of Winship’s Glenn Family Breast Center and the study’s lead author, presented the results at the 2020 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, held virtually Dec. 8-10.
