| | Improving outcomes with intensity-modulated radiotherapy | Results from an NRG Oncology clinical study, co-authored by Deborah Bruner, PhD, RN, FAAN, found that lowering radiotherapy dose to hippocampal stem cells improves cognitive and patient-reported outcomes for patients with brain metastases. The results were published Feb. 19 in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.

| | | | | Pamela's Proton Presents launches for pediatric patients | Surrounded by her treatment team, Lexi picked out a gift as part of Pamela’s Proton Presents, a new program for Winship's youngest patients who are receiving care at the Emory Proton Therapy Center. The program was started by Pamela Reid, who was treated with proton therapy at age seven and is now cancer free.
