| | Shoji retires after nearly 50 years at Emory | Mamoru Shoji, MD retired from the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology on May 1. Shoji, who completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Emory, joined the faculty in 1973. The focus of his research has included the preclinical development and targeted delivery of curcumin analogs in combination with other agents for the treatment of solid tumor angiogenesis and bone metastasis.
