Ramalingam to serve as editor-in-chief of journal CANCER

Winship Deputy Director Suresh S. Ramalingam, MD, has been named the new editor-in-chief of CANCER, a peer-reviewed journal of the American Cancer Society. Ramalingam, who has served as a section editor for the journal since 2011, will begin a 5-year editorship starting on July 1.

Bai receives Victoria Mock New Investigator Award

Jinbing Bai, RN, MSN, PhD, FAAN, was honored by the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) with the 2021 Victoria Mock New Investigator Award, recognizing his contributions to building a scientific foundation for oncology nursing practice. Bai presented his award lecture on April 22 during the 46th Annual ONS Congress.

Qian and Syed receive ASCO Merit Awards

Radiation oncology residents Drs. David Qian and Yusef Syed have each received a 2021 Merit Award from Conquer Cancer, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Foundation. The awards support oncology trainees who are first authors on abstracts selected for presentation at the ASCO Annual Meeting, taking place June 4-8.

Fluorescent and brightfield slide scanning is also available using Akoya’s Vectra Polaris Imaging System.
