Winship Emory Midtown celebrates "topping out" milestone

Winship Emory Midtown took a major step toward revolutionizing cancer care in Georgia and beyond when Emory University Hospital Midtown and Winship Cancer Institute on August 26 celebrated the 17-story building under construction with a construction topping out ceremony at the site. Chen to retire after nearly two decades at Emory
Georgia Chen, PhD, professor of hematology and medical oncology, will retire on Aug. 31 after 17 years with Emory. Chen's pioneering discoveries in lung and head and neck cancer have garnered numerous awards and honors and led to new understanding of cancer prevention and treatment.
