Registration opens for Winship Scientific Symposium

The annual Winship Scientific Symposium, taking place virtually Dec. 2-3, will commemorate 50 years of the National Cancer Act and its continued impact on Winship Cancer Institute's pioneering research and discoveries. The symposium will include a keynote talk from Skip Trump, MD; scientific talks from faculty across Winship's four research programs; and a video poster session and oral abstracts showcasing student and trainee research. Video abstracts are due Nov. 15.

Winship awarded ACS Institutional Research Grant renewal
Winship's American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant (ACS-IRG) has been renewed for another three years. The award, led by Larry Boise, PhD, provides funding for Winship's annual ACS-IRG pilot grants for early-career investigators.
