Immunotherapy studies show promise for patients with head and neck cancer
Winship researchers played a leading role in two new studies which could change the way oncologists treat oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma, the most common form of head and neck cancer. The findings, published in Cell Reports Medicine, found that pre-surgery immunotherapy is safe and effective in treating some patients.

DiMotta joins Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders
Christopher DiMotta, MBA, RT, has been named senior administrative director of the Hemophilia of Georgia Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders of Emory. With an extensive background in health care administration, he most recently served as director of operations for the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center in Delaware.
 
  
EIGC seminar explores 10X Genomics platforms
The Emory Integrated Genomics Core (EIGC) and 10x Genomics will host a virtual seminar on Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m. Emory investigators Drs. Christopher Scharer and Ashish Sharma will share their experiences using 10X Genomics platforms for spatial profiling and single cell ATACseq and how the technologies facilitated their research.
