| | Maples receives HOPA New Practitioner Award | Kathryn Maples, PharmD, clinical pharmacy specialist at Winship, received a HOPA New Practitioner Award at the annual meeting of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association, held in Boston March 30 to April 2. The award recognizes a HOPA member early in their career who has made a significant contribution to developing or supporting clinical hematology and oncology pharmacy services.

| | | | Konen joins Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology | Jessica Konen, PhD, has joined Winship as an instructor of hematology and medical oncology. Konen, who earned her PhD from Emory, recently completed postdoctoral training at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she focused on identifying and targeting novel mechanisms of drug resistance to cancer therapeutics, including immunotherapies, to improve outcomes for people with lung cancer.
