Emory University names new dean of Rollins School of Public Health

Emory University has appointed M. Daniele Fallin, PhD, an internationally regarded researcher and educator, as the new James W. Curran Dean of Public Health at the Rollins School of Public Health. Fallin, who currently serves as chair of the Department of Mental Health for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, will join Emory July 1.

Winship specialists to present at GASCO winter meetings

The Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology (GASCO) will host the Best of the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) and GASCO's annual meeting in Atlanta, Jan. 14-15. Call for applications: NCI-funded big data workshop

Purdue University and Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center will host an online NCI-funded workshop, "Big Data Training for Cancer Research," May 13-27. Participants will hone skills for managing, visualizing, analyzing, and integrating various types of omics data in cancer studies. Applications are due Feb. 1.
