Winship Win the Fight 5K

The annual Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk supports the ground breaking research and outstanding patient care at Winship Cancer Institute.

In 2016, the sixth annual event raised over $900,000 with over 3,200 participants. To date, the event has raised over $3.3 million in support of cancer research at Winship Cancer Institute. On the day of the event, runners and walkers tackle the Peachtree Road Race qualifying course that starts and ends on the Emory campus and winds its way through the surrounding Druid Hills-area. Teams are encouraged to organize and to take part in the event.

Save the date! The 2017 Winship Win the Fight 5K is set for Saturday, October 14th. Registration will open in late spring.

Be a Winship Warrior

Once registration opens, become a Winship Warrior and join us in the Winship Win the Fight 5K Run/Walk! You can create a team or join the Winship 5K as an individual. We invite you to set a $250 minimum fundraising goal and encourage your friends, family and co-workers to join you in making a difference in the fight against cancer.

You can target your tax-deductible donation to any number of Winship cancer funds based on your personal interests.

You do not have to race to raise money for the cause. We even have a name for those who would like to help win the fight, but would prefer not to run or walk in the race—'Sleep-in' warriors! If you don’t want to walk or run, just come join the fun! You can still register, and you can still have a team. Just designate when you register that you are a 'Sleep-in' Warrior.
