Dr. Elliott Winton joined the Emory faculty in 1974 and has been a key force in the development of the BMT Program.Elliott Winton, MD

Dr. Winton is Associate Professor of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.  Dr. Winton is the Emory Principal Investigator of the MPN clinical trials.  His areas of clinical and research interests are in myeloproliferative neoplasms, Hodgkin's disease, bone marrow transplant, hematopoietic syndrome, leukemia, lymphomas and multiple myeloma. 

Dr. Winton earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he also served his internship.  He conducted his residency and fellowship at Emory University Hospital, where he joined the faculty in 1974.

Dr. Winton is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the International Society of Experimental Hematology.
