Jiusheng Deng, PhD, is an instructor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Deng is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Education
Dr. Deng received his PhD from Tel Aviv University School of Medicine in Israel. He completed his postdoc training in Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard Medical School and Emory University. He then worked as a Research Associate in Stanford University School of Medicine. In 2011, Dr. Deng became an Instructor of Hematology and Medical Oncology in Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University.

Research
Dr. Deng's research focuses on developing novel immune therapeutics against cancers; in particular, he is interested in the utilization of bioengineered fusion cytokines to reprogram patient immune cells for personalized cancer immunotherapy.
