Research
Dr. Hu's research employs high-resolution mass spectrometry in combination with multiple omics techniques to study molecular mechanisms of environmental impact on human health. Current research projects focus on the adverse effects of prenatal exposure to contaminants in fetal development, specifically, respiratory airway development, and the impact of early-life exposure on later-life lung disease risk. Her team applies molecular and systems biology methods, including integrative omics to take a holistic research approach in addressing the complexity of exposure and biological responses.
