Biography

Ravi Kane, PhD, MS, is a professor in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Garry Betty/ V Foundation Chair at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also a GRA Eminent Scholar in Cancer Nanotechnology.

Dr. Kane is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.

Education

Dr. Kane received his Master of Science and his PhD in chemical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr. Kane's research interests include vaccine design, the development of methods to modulate Wnt signaling and the development of imaging techniques and targeted treatments for cancer.

Awards

Dr. Kane won the Biotechnology Progress Award for Excellence in Biological Engineering Publication in 2014. Previously, he was elected to AIMBE College of Fellows in 2013. In 2011, Dr. Kane received the Trustees' Outstanding Teacher Award, RPI. In 2004, he was named to the TR 100, a list of the world's top 100 young innovators, by MIT's Technology Review.
