Biography
Rizza Hohenstern, MPS, CSD, is a chaplain and spiritual health fellow at the Winship locations at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital and Emory at Buford Clinic. She provides spiritual and emotional support for oncology patients and their caregivers. Rizza is a Certified Spiritual Director in the North Georgia area serving spiritual seekers across Christian denominations with a concentration in the Roman Catholic tradition. Rizza also serves as Spiritual Advisor for District 2 leaders of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia ministry.
Education
Rizza earned her Masters of Pastoral Studies degree and Certificate of Spiritual Direction from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, and completed her residency with Emory Spiritual Health Johns Creek Hospital where she focused on patient, family, and staff care in the emergency, medical surgery, oncology, catheterization laboratory and same day surgery units.
