Care Communities
Winship at Emory Midtown uniquely joins outpatient and inpatient cancer care into care communities. Nearly all the services you need—from diagnostics and doctors’ appointments to infusions and support services—will be brought directly to you in the care community by teams of experts from multiple disciplines specialized in your cancer type. The connectivity between inpatient and outpatient services ensures cohesive care coordination and a seamless patient experience.
The care communities will focus on patients with specific types of cancer, providing specialized infusion facilities, clinical examination rooms, clinical research, and spaces for support and rehabilitation services.
- Level 18: Outpatient clinic for lung cancer, lymphoma and myeloma, cardio-oncology
- Level 17: Inpatient unit for genitourinary and gastrointestinal cancers
- Level 16: Outpatient clinic for genitourinary and gastrointestinal cancers
- Level 15: Inpatient unit for head and neck tumors, sarcoma and endocrine
- Level 14: Outpatient clinic for head and neck tumors, sarcoma, endocrine, speech language pathology, audiology, modified barium swallow studies
- Level 11: Inpatient unit for head and neck tumors
- Level 10: Outpatient clinic for head and neck tumors, dental oncology, speech language pathology
- Level 9: Inpatient unit for breast cancer and gynecologic oncology, ortho oncology
- Level 8: Outpatient clinic for breast cancer and gynecologic oncology, breast imaging
