Elkin Lecture Series

The Elkin Lecture Series at Winship is held on Fridays at 12:15 p.m. (September through May) in the John H. Kauffman Auditorium (Room C5012, 5th Floor) at Winship Cancer Institute.

The Elkin Lecture Series is suspended until at through May 31 due to concerns with the coronavirus (COVID-19). View listing of suspended lectures.

The Elkin Lecture Series is a venue for premier scientists and clinicians to present their research and interact with Winship members, trainees, and students.

Speakers are experts in various aspects of oncology and present on an array of clinical and laboratory-based research topics. The lectures take place every Friday from September to May.

Do you know a basic or translational scientist doing cutting-edge cancer research who would make an excellent speaker for the weekly Elkin Lecture Series? Winship members are encouraged to nominate up to two speakers for the Elkin lecture. Please submit your nominations with a brief description of why the candidate would be a good choice for the Elkin lecture by accessing the online form via the "Nominate a Speaker" button below.

Before speakers are formally invited, nominee forms will be reviewed and approved by Elkin Lecture Series committee. Please do not submit names of experts who have given lectures within the past three years.
