Jalecia Askin, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker currently serving patients with head and neck cancer. Prior to joining Winship Cancer Institute, she worked as a dedicated Medical Social Worker and Case Manager, bringing over a decade of experience in the healthcare field. Throughout her career, Ms. Askin worked with most of the specialty teams in the inpatient setting, gaining a broad and in-depth understanding of patient care and support across diverse medical needs. She also served in multiple intensive care units, where she provided critical support and advocated for patients and their families during some of the most challenging times.
Patients are her top priority, and she values the opportunity to collaborate with her team to enhance overall patient outcomes.
Education
Ms. Askin completed her academic studies at the University of Georgia. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a Master’s Degree In Social Work.
