Biography
Robert A. Bednarczyk, PhD, is an associate professor in the Hubert Department of Global Health and Department of Epidemiology at Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Bednarczyk is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute. He is also a faculty member of the Emory Vaccine Center.
Concurrent to his work at Emory, Dr. Berdnarczyk served as an affiliate clinical investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also adjunct research assistant professor in the Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Public Health at University at Albany, State University of New York in Rensselaer, New York.

Dr. Bednarczyk received his MS and his PhD, both in epidemiology, from the School of Public Health at the University at Albany, State University of New York, in Rensselaer, NY.

Research
Dr. Bednarczyk's research focus is in the prevention of cervical cancer and other human papillomavirus related diseases through the use of HPV vaccination. Additionally, he has interests more broadly in vaccine acceptance, particularly for adolescent and adult vaccines.
