Board-certified in internal medicine, Haaris Beg, MD, is an oncology hospitalist and director of inpatient medical oncology at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He cares for patients with cancer and manages related medical complications while providing consultations on the inpatient medical oncology service. Dr. Beg also oversees the day-to-day operations of the inpatient medical oncology service across Winship, with a focus on supporting the program's continued growth.
Before joining Winship, Dr. Beg spent seven years at academic institutions, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center. He diagnosed and treated conditions specific to hospitalized patients with cancer, supervised medical students and residents in training and provided comprehensive, goal-concordant care for patients approaching the end of life.
Dr. Beg is an assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.
