Selen Bozkurt, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Emory School of Medicine and an AI humanity initiative Scholar. Dr. Bozkurt is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Bozkurt attended Akdeniz University in Antalya, Turkey where she earned a PhD in medical informatics. She completed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University. She also earned a Master of Science in biostatistics and medical informatics at Akdeniz University.

Dr. Bozkurt's research interests center around the development, evaluation and implementation of patient-centered artificial intelligence solutions that reduce the burden of healthcare delivery, promote health equity and ultimately improve health outcomes.
