I moved from LA, where I had an extremely good cardiologist and felt very fortunate. Dr. Cant is just as good. I am fortunate to have her as my doctor and Emory is fortunate to have her on its team. As I said in a previous comment, I am an MD myself, double-boarded in Int Medicine and Psychiatry. I rarely mention this but I do so to provide credence to my evaluation of Dr. Cant.

Dr. Cantu saved my life. She went down a rabbit hole with me and discovered a pulmonary embolism due to COVID. She has listened to EVERY SINGLE CONCERN, and she has mitigated every thing. She talked through everything with me and helped me understand the short, medium and long term plans. Dr. Cantu is not only intelligent, confident, professional, highly adept, she is also kind, warm, human, real, compassionate and empathetic. I feel empowered again and I cannot thank Dr. Cantu and her amazing team enough!!

Dr. Cantu's care is wonderful. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. Her empathy for the patient experience is greatly appreciated when undergoing a difficult time or learning of bad news. She is the only reason I have my cardiac care done at Emory instead of going to MassGeneral in Boston.

Dr. Cantu is excellent; she is very knowledgeable, listens carefully, makes quick connections between divergent symptoms, asks good followup questions to get to the bottom of an issue, makes appropriate referrals when needed, and offers great advice and proactive care. She's also kind and empathic, with a good bedside manner. I couldn't be happier to have her as my cardiologist. I may be very lucky on each of my visits to catch people on their best days, but every single staff member, from intake to nurses to medical assistants to checkout, who I have ever encountered in all of my visits to the Midtown office is exceptionally helpful, friendly and kind. Whoever is in charge of recruiting and managing the Midtown cardiology department should be commended for inspiring so many dedicated and nice people. Other departments should look to this one as the example to follow.

Dr. Cantu is amazing. She is the first doctor that I've had in years that actually read my medical history and knew about me before coming into the room. She made me feel very comfortable talking to her and she listened. What I said mattered to her. The appointment wasn't rushed and I left her office knowing I made a great decision selecting her as my cardiologist.

Dr. Cantu was unaware of how dental panoramic X-rays can be a screening tool for carotid calcification. Since I had mine and my DMD educated me about this, I have found this is "real".
