Julia Falgout, MDiv, CCSH, is a Compassion-Centered Spiritual Health™ fellow at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University’s Clifton campus. She provides spiritual and emotional support to patients with cancer.
Julia completed her first unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Grady Hospital, where she developed a love for trauma-informed care during the height of the pandemic. Julia completed her residency at Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown, offering spiritual care to patients and families in the Head and Neck department. She also provided on-call coverage across the Emory University Hospital Midtown campus, continuing to cultivate her passion for patients in the intensive care unit. She has served as a PRN chaplain across Winship locations, as well as at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite and Arthur M. Blank hospitals.
She earned a Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, where she minored in chaplaincy. Before graduate school, she joined the United Methodist young adult Global Mission Fellows program, serving for two years as an English teacher and youth leader for the United Methodist Church in Warsaw, Poland.
