Margaret “Maggie” Harrington, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner and serves as advanced practice provider co-leader with the outpatient malignant hematology and bone marrow transplant (BMT) team at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University (Clifton campus). Ms. Harrington specializes in managing complex bone marrow transplant patients after both allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplantation. She works alongside Dr. Amelia Langston and Dr. Colin Vale to manage acute and chronic leukemia, as well as lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies. She also specializes in the management of chronic graft versus host disease.
Ms. Harrington earned her BS Biology from The University of Georgia, her BS Nursing from Georgia State University, and her Masters in Nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. She serves as the lead advance practice provider for the outpatient malignant hematology and bone marrow transplant teams.

Ms. Harrington is an outstanding health practitioner. She is caring and have empathy for her patients. I call her my angel because we have been through very challenging times and her knowledge, follow up caring attitude and positive outlook helped me overcome those difficult times. My initial PA was authoritarian and did not listen to me during the initial visits after the transplant. Once Ms. Harrington became my health practitioner and listen to me, understood my case and needs I started to gradually get better.
