Tricia King, PhD, is a professor at Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University. Dr. King is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. King earned her PhD in clinical psychology and neuropsychology from University of Florida. She completed her postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology at Brown University.

Research
A developmental clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. King studies brain-behavior relationships across the lifespan. Her clinical research spans from infants born prematurely to older adults with various forms of dementia, though the primary focus centers on youth and young adults who have acquired neurological disorders early in life, such as brain tumors, congenital heart disease and traumatic brain injury. Her work relies on collaborative team science to develop transdisciplinary methodologies that incorporate rapidly advancing technologies, methods and analyses. The overarching goal is to optimize cognitive outcomes and everyday adaptive functioning through individualized precision healthcare informed by clinical science.
