Maxwell P. Kligerman, MD, MPH

Biography

A board-certified otolaryngologist (head and neck surgeon), Maxwell P. Kligerman, MD, MPH, is an attending physician whose primary clinical focus is treating patients with head and neck cancer, salivary gland tumors and disorders of the thyroid or parathyroid. Dr. Kligerman practices at the Atlanta VA Medical Center and Emory Decatur Hospital.

Dr. Kligerman is an assistant professor in the Division of Head and Neck Cancer in the Department of Otolaryngology at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Kligerman received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California and earned his MPH from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His postgraduate medical training includes a residency in otolaryngology at Stanford University School of Medicine and a fellowship in head and neck cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, New York.

Research

Dr. Kligerman has research interests in decision analysis, head and neck cancer outcomes and global surgery capacity building. His Master of Public Health focused on biostatistics and decision modeling, and he has a strong interest in creating decision models to compare head and neck cancer treatment strategies.

Publications

Dr. Kligerman's articles have been published in leading journals including International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Annals of Otology, Rhinology and Laryngology, and The Laryngoscope.
