An epidemiologist with a background in public and global health, Kelsey R. Landrum, PhD, MS, is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Landrum is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Landrum earned her PhD in epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also completed her postdoctoral training. She received her Master of Science in global health from Duke University.

Dr. Landrum’s research focuses on the intersection of epidemiologic methods, surgery and global health, with an emphasis on improving access to timely, affordable and high-quality surgical care and treatments for ultra-rare conditions. Her work integrates robust epidemiologic methods with clinically relevant questions to address disparities, improve access to surgical care and advance evidence-based practices in surgery and clinical research.
