Dr. Lupo earned his PhD and holds a Master of Public Health, both in epidemiology, from University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, where he also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in genetic epidemiology.

Dr. Lupo’s research focuses on leveraging population-based resources, such as birth defects and cancer registries, to identify novel genetic and environmental predisposition factors for birth defects, childhood cancers, and other pediatric disorders, with the ultimate goal of developing targeted prevention strategies and interventions to improve health outcomes in affected children.
