Jordan G. Marchak, PhD, ABPP

Biography

Jordan Gilleland Marchak, PhD, ABPP, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Marchak is a behavioral scientist and co-director of the Survivor Program at Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.

Education

Dr. Marchak received her PhD in Psychology from University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She completed her residency in clinical psychology at Medical College of Georgia and Department of Veteran's Affairs Medical Center and her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Research

Dr. Marchak's research focuses on improving psychosocial and survivorship care for pediatric cancer patients through evidence-based practices, clinical practice guideline implementation, and technology-enabled solutions. She has built a program of research centered on healthcare self‑management, mental health and psychosocial functioning, and the use of electronic health record–integrated screening tools to deliver guideline‑concordant care. Dr. Marchak also leads research on Cancer SurvivorLink, an electronic personal health record designed to support lifelong survivorship care by helping patients access education, store and share clinical documents, and engage meaningfully in their health management. Her work integrates implementation science, digital health innovation, and clinical program development to advance high‑quality survivorship care across the lifespan.
