Biography

Claire M. Mazewski, MD, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. As a pediatric neuro-oncologist, Dr. Mazewski cares for patients at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.

Education

Dr. Mazewski earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency at Indiana University as well. She conducted her fellowship at the Cincinnati Hospital Medical Center and did her neuro-oncology training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Dr. Mazewski's main areas of interest and research include treatment of childhood brain and spinal cord tumors, treatment of infants with brain tumors, late effects, new agents/clinical drug development, complementary/alternative medicine, and patient, parent and community education regarding these tumors, treatments and late effects.
