Biography
Dr. Midya is an instructor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine.Dr. Midya is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Midya earned a Doctor of Philosophy in image and video processing from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and a Master of Engineering from Kalyani Government Engineering College in India. He completed postdoctoral training in medical imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Case Western Reserve University.

Research
Dr. Midya’s research focuses on developing radiomics and machine learning methods to extract predictive biomarkers from medical imaging. His work applies AI to improve prostate and liver cancer diagnosis, predict recurrence in pancreatic and colorectal cancers and identify cardiac imaging markers linked to atrial fibrillation outcomes.
