Biography
Brianna Mikel, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker who joined Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in 2025. Ms. Mikel provides support and services to patients across multiple Emory University locations.
She brings more than nine years of experience in a variety of settings, including schools, community mental health, private therapy, and hospitals. Before joining Winship, Ms. Mikel worked as a medical social worker in the emergency department of a level one trauma center. She is passionate about helping patients and families navigate healthcare-related challenges and providing support during difficult times.
Education
Brianna earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Child & Family Development with a focus in Family Services from Georgia Southern University, and received her Master's in Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.
