Snehal G. Patel, MD, MS, FACS, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of General and GI Surgery of the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. He joined the Emory faculty in 2016. A board certified surgeon, Dr. Patel specializes in malignancies of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal gland.
After receiving his medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine, Dr. Patel completed his general surgery residency at Emory University. He then completed an endocrine surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Patel's research focuses on defining the role of molecular markers in thyroid cancer patients and investigating the preoperative detection of thyroid cancer.
