Background
A board-certified gynecologic oncologist, Jennifer M. Scalici, MD, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with gynecologic cancer including cervical, ovarian and uterine cancer. She practices at Winship at Emory Midtown and Winship at Emory Decatur Hospital. Dr. Scalici is a professor and director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University School of Medicine. She leads the gynecologic oncology program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Before joining Emory, Dr. Scalici was at USA-Mitchell Cancer Institute in Mobile, Alabama, where she served as chief of gynecologic oncology and director of the gynecologic oncology research laboratory.
Dr. Scalici received her MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She then completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Virginia Health Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
