Michael A. Schneider, MD, PhD, is a hematologist who specializes in treating lymphoma and other hematologic malignancies. He joined the clinical staff at Winship Cancer Institute as an attending physician in 2025. His practice is based at Winship Cancer Institute's Clifton campus and Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown.
Dr. Schneider is an assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.
A physician-scientist, Dr. Schneider's research focuses on understanding factors that influence the efficacy of immunotherapies in lymphoma, including CAR T-cells, BiTEs and immune checkpoint inhibitors.
He earned his medical degree and PhD from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. He completed his internal medicine residency and his hematology and oncology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
