Board-certified breast surgical oncologist Puneet Singh, MD, MS, FACS, FSSO, specializes in the surgical and multidisciplinary management of breast cancer. Her clinical interests include breast-conserving surgery, axillary management and personalized treatment approaches for patients with breast cancer. She is an attending physician and member of the multidisciplinary breast cancer team at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Dr. Singh is an associate professor in the Division of Breast Surgery within the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to joining Emory, she served on the faculty of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Singh completed her general surgery residency at the University of Chicago, where she also completed a research fellowship and a fellowship in clinical medical ethics. She then completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Dr. Singh's research focuses on improving surgical outcomes and advancing multidisciplinary care for patients with breast cancer. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial board of Surgical Oncology Insight. She is committed to advancing breast cancer research, education and surgical training.
