Research

Dr. Stoff's research interests include bioethics, dermatopathology, and melanoma. He is actively involved in global health, serving on the Advisory Committee for the Emory Global Health Residency Scholars Program and chairing the Dermatology Steering Committee of Health Volunteers Overseas, a non-profit organization that facilitates international teaching assignments for dermatologists and other health care professionals.

Publications

Dr. Stoff has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters. He is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. He is co-editor of the textbook “Dermatoethics, 2nd Edition” and editor-in-chief of Dialogues in Dermatology, the official CME podcast of the American Academy of Dermatology.

I have a complicated medical case and sometimes doctors can be dismissive of symptoms and problems they don't see often. Dr. Stoff was the opposite. He did an excellent job discussing my symptoms with me without dismissing what I'm experiencing. He even went above and beyond what most doctors are willing to do and did some additional research. He communicated with me promptly after he did and proposed a medication to help with some of my difficult to control symptoms. I was very pleased with the whole experience. I wish every doctor was more like Dr. Stoff! Thank you!!!
