Background
Swati Vishwanathan, MD, is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. Dr. Vishwanathan practices general medical oncology and hematology at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital, with a focus on treating patients with hematologic malignancies and breast, lung, prostate and gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr. Vishwanathan is an assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Before joining Emory in 2025, she served as an attending physician at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
She earned her medical degree from Thanjavur Medical College in India. She completed her internal medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and her fellowship in hematology and oncology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
