A board certified radiation oncologist, Kristin Ward, MD, specializes in the treatment of breast and gynecologic cancer. Dr. Ward sees patients at Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ward earned her Medical Degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, Texas. She completed her internal medicine internship and her residency in radiation oncology at University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

My attending provider, Dr. Ward was very attentive to my health care needs being diagnosis with a serious illness. She took time to explain what my next steps are expected to look like, which I had consolation that my illness will be followed through with the best medical team and practices to help me to get well to continue to live out the quality of life I'm expecting after treatment. Overall, I was given medical instructions that I can understand and follow through with adequate treatment plan.
