Laura Wright, ND, is an integrative oncology specialist in the Integrative Oncology and Survivorship Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. As a licensed naturopathic doctor, Dr. Wright ensures that individuals diagnosed with cancer have access to safe, evidence-based integrative therapies that complement and support conventional cancer treatments. She is committed to guiding patients with their cancer, working with an interdisciplinary team to integrate a wide range of naturopathic and integrative medicine practices into their treatment plans.
Integrative oncology focuses on mitigating the side effects of conventional cancer therapies, enhancing their effectiveness and optimizing overall patient outcomes. Recommendations are tailored to each individual's needs, diagnosis and circumstances. It is important to note that integrative oncology support does not treat cancer. This expertise is designed to minimize side effects, support recovery, enhance quality of life and optimize outcomes for those incorporating evidence-informed, natural and holistic therapies alongside their conventional treatment plan.
Dr. Wright is a member of several professional organizations, including Society of Integrative Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Georgia Association of Naturopathic Physicians and American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
