Peer Partners Program

The Winship Peer Partners Program is one of our many cancer survivorship programs. The Peer Partners Program matches cancer survivors and caregivers with cancer patients and caregivers dealing with a similar diagnosis of cancer, pre-cancerous condition, or benign tumor. Peer Partners offer confidential, one-to-one support based on their previous personal cancer experience.

  • All Peers Partners complete a training program and are supervised through Winship Social Services
  • Available to all patients and caregivers regardless of where they receive treatment
  • Offers flexible location and schedule determined by the Partner and Patient
  • Communication may be by phone or in person

The purpose of the Peer Partners Program is to provide support, encouragement, and knowledge from personal experience.

To become a Peer Partner Volunteer: If you are a cancer survivor, caregiver or family member of a cancer patient and are interested in becoming a Peer Partner, please fill out an online application and you will be contacted about attending a training class.

Cancer Patients seeking a Peer Partner: Apply by filling out the Peer Partner Patient Enrollment Form and return it to a Winship social worker.
